UniDocumentManager

Two days ago I decided to write a litte program which helps the students to share the documents of their lectures.
Usually we send it via mail but this isn’t so nice 🙂

Icons from: VistaICO.com

This program contains the following functions:

  • Add / Edit / Delete Lecturs
  • Add / Edit / Delete Documents (and upload a document)
  • Add Comments (I do not had the time to implement the edit and delete feature)
  • User management and two user levels. Admin can add/edit/remove users and modify the lectures / documents of all users
  • Download a document
  • Download all documents of a lecture

The program stores the documents / lectures / comments and users on a FTP server. You can easily use your own FTP server by editing the servername etc. in the worker.cs file.

For the program I used the following helper classes or controls:

Here you see a screenshot and a  short video which shows how it works

You can modify and redistribute this program but remember to have at least a link to my blog. 🙂

The sourcecode + HowTo (Note that you have to delete the .doc extension of the file. It is a rar file but I can not upload rar or zip files therefore I added the .doc extension):
UniDocumentManager.rar.doc
03 September 2009 22:32 : I changed the rar file added the new dlls and fixed a few bugs.
09 September 2009 18:47 : I fixed a bug (caused by UAC) and added the new rar file
